Harry St.Ours is Professor of Communication Arts Technologies at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, and is formerly Professor and Chairman of the Department of Design in the School of Architecture and Design at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to that, he was Co-Director of the Communication Arts Program at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

A professor of art for three decades, he has had great fun teaching most every subject in fine art and applied design at some very cool colleges in the States and abroad, and is still captivated with the wonderful images and software coming out of the design community. He has presented numerous papers and given lectures and presentations about his online classes at major conferences, including the European Academy of Design, the Hawaii International Conference on Arts & Humanities, the College Art Association (CAA), eDucation Without Borders in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the WebNet World Conference, CCHA, CRBS, MCAC, League for Innovation, SIGGRAPH, Seybold, SECAC, AICAD, Educom and many others. He was co-author of the well received book Illustrator 7 Complete and has had images and articles published in numerous periodicals and publications.

A marble sculptor by training and practice, currently he teaches exclusively computer art and design. His own art includes over 30 years of regular exhibits of sculpture as well as large-format prints of his digital images and, now, panoramic photography.

St.Ours Studio is housed in an historic Victorian hotel nestled on five peaceful acres in rural Maryland.
